Editorial Standards
The Middle Corridor publishes opinion and analysis. We are clear about the difference between an argument and a fact, and we hold ourselves to a simple standard on both.
Independence
The review is independent. It takes no funding, brief or direction from any government, party, company or advocacy group, and it has no undisclosed commercial interest in the subjects it covers. Where a writer has a relevant interest in a story, it is disclosed in the piece.
Sourcing
Our analysis is opinion, but the facts it rests on are not. Figures, dates and claims of fact are drawn from primary documents, official statements and credible reporting, and are checked against those sources before publication. Where a number is contested or uncertain, we say so rather than choosing the version that suits the argument.
Corrections
We correct errors of fact promptly and visibly. If you believe something we have published is wrong, write to editor@themiddlecorridor.in setting out the error and, where possible, the source that establishes it. A correction that materially changes a piece will be noted on the piece itself, not made silently.
Opinion
Argument is the point of this publication, and our writers take positions. Those positions are their own. Disagreement, supported by evidence, is always welcome, and the best of it may be published.
